Palm Beach Watercolor Society celebrated the opening of it's first show at the Armory Art Center in West Palm Beach. The reception was held the evening of Nov. 4, 2011. The Armory center provided us with great volunteers and the Whole Foods Market furnished outstanding hors d'oeuvres. PBWS supplied the liquid refreshments. The show was hung by the AACenter who also provided us with promotional cards and ID cards for each painting. A display of nearly 50 members' paintings was judged by Marian Axley, NWS and FWS

The prize winners are 1st Place---Carol Staub, 2nd Place---Jackie Lyles, 3rd Place ---Jorge Leon, Special Recognition---James A. Cook, Honorable Mentions went to Jane McIntyre, Dodi Sikevitz, and Beverly J. Myers Co- Chairpersons Pat Boldizar and Carole St.Cyr wish to thank everyone who helped make the show successful. The many who did the show preparations, helped with take-in and the reception. They are Donna and Everett Jenner, Marilyn Young, Donna Walsh, Janet Davis, Jean Ellerie, Jean Hutchinson, Jorge Leon, James A. Cook, and the Greeters Ava DeBonis and Carol Perez.
