Palm Beach Watercolor Society, Inc.
The Palm Beach Watercolor Society supports community watercolor education and appreciation, and promotes
public interest and knowledge concerning the arts by sponsoring over one hundred days each year of watercolor
exhibits - see the calendar of EVENTS on this web site.
Monthly demonstrations, October through May, open to the community, are offered free of charge by professional
watercolor artists. The schedule of demonstrations are also on this web site. See MEETINGS.
WORKSHOPS: Each year, a series of 3 or 4 Day Workshops are offered, featuring national and international
instructors. The public, as well as our members are welcome to participate in these innovative approaches
to watercolor technique classes. For details, see our WORKSHOPS on this web site.
SCHOLARSHIPS: We recognize artistic achievement by awarding scholarships to students at the college
level who are engaged in the study of watercolor painting. See PBWS HOME PAGE for
this year's winners.
VERY SPECIAL ARTS PROGRAM OF PALM BEACH COUNTY: This ongoing program gathers donations and new art
supplies to aid challenged children and adults participating in artistic work.
ANNUAL OPEN JURIED WATERCOLOR EXHIBITION: Open to watercolor artists 18 years of age and over residing
in Florida. Cash and merchandise prizes and ribbons are awarded, recognizing and encouraging water media art in South
Florida. See EVENTS.
PAINT-INS AND PAINT-OUTS: From October through May, our members organize these groups to offer opportunities
for watercolorists to work with fellow artists. The public is invited to participate. See
EVENTS.
PAINT-INS: Feature a live model and are held on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at the
Boca Community Center, 150 Crawford Boulevard, Boca Raton (October through May). Twelve sessions are
offered for a donation
of $60 to cover the costs of the model and room rental. Contact Sandy Pankratz at (561) 642-9478.
PAINT-OUTS: Held on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month, 8:30 a.m., in various plein aire locations.

ART IN PUBLIC PLACES: Participation in this program displays member's artwork in community centers,
park buildings and other public venues. See EVENTS.
VIDEO LOANS: Outstanding watercolor videos by nationally known artists are available for loan with a
deposit which is refundable on return of the video.
