Dodi Sikevitz is a veratile artist working in watercolor, watercolor monotypes, acrylic and oil, creating works from dramitic to low-key realism, often enlivend with a touch of humor.  Born and educated in Chicago, Illinois, she won a scholarship to the Art Institute of Chicago.

In 1956, she began a career in the field of advertising as a layout artist, later becoming Advertising Art Director for Wells Lamont Corporation, a national glove company, Assistant Advertising Manager with Hobart Corporation, an international food equipment company, and Advertising Manager for Oak Industries, an international electronic components firm.

She opened her own advertising agency and studio in 1979, which she continued to head until moving to Michigan with her husband, Marty, in 1985.

Since 1992, Dodi has been a resident of Palm Beach County, Florida and devotes full time to fine art, commissions, graphic design and teaching drawing and painting.  She has had her work published in American Artist magazine, the April 2005 issue of Watercolor Magic magazine and several feature articles in local newspapers.

Her paintings are in many private collections and she is credited for showing her works in several solo exhibitions and over two hundred juried exhibitions in both Florida and Michigan, winning many top awards.  She has Signature Membership in both the Florida Watercolor Society and the Palm Beach Watercolor Society.

The Palette and Brush Club of Metro Detroit awarded her "Artist of the Year" in 1991, 1992 and after 1996: She was also past president of this organization and is also past president of the Palm Beach Watercolor Society.
